OMM Outfitters Terms - Conditions - Cancellation

Liability Waiver, Release and Media Release:

OMM Outfitters, affiliates, and cooperating landowners require participants to sign a waiver, release and media release. A parent or guardian must sign for a minor. Follow the link to access the required release: Liability Waiver and Release

Reservation Policy:

A 50% deposit is required to confirm dates. Some trips, arranged more than a year in advance, only require a 25% deposit. In this case, another 25% deposit is due in January the year of the trip. Balance is due 30 days prior to the trip check-in date. The Maine Bear Hunt Over Bait balance is due by June 30 of the year of the hunt.

Check-in Policy:

A mandatory safety meeting is typically held starting at 5 p.m. the day before hunting starts. Plan to arrive at camp by 4 p.m. or arrange in advance for a later safety briefing. If you are visiting for the first time, arrivals after dusk are discouraged. The gravel roads into camp can be a challenge to navigate after dusk. Also, late arrivals could disturb early morning hunters already in camp. Arrangements must be made in advance. We reserve the right to delay a hunt for a safety briefing and to demonstrate weapon proficiency. Sunday hunting is illegal in Maine.

OMM Cancellation Policy:

All deposits and downpayments are completely non-refundable for any reason including, but not limited to weather, travel delays, illness, family or business emergencies, loss of income, early departure or late arrival, etc. Clients are advised to purchase trip insurance. Date changes may be available at our sole discretion and are subject to a 10% rebooking fee.

OMM reserves the right to cancel any trip or to refuse any person as a member of any trip, in which case, OMM shall make a full or prorated refund which will constitute final and complete settlement with Client. Client acknowledges that all quoted rates, prices and fees are subject to change without notice and Client agrees to pay the same as a condition of proceeding with trip or have the option to cancel with full refund.

OMM Wounding Policy:

Any animal wounded in any way is considered fatal and the hunt is considered completed. At our sole discretion and subject to local laws and regulations, occasionally, hunting may continue for an additional fee.

OMM Trophy Processing:

Hunters are responsible for processing and packaging of donated meat.

Disputes:

Any disputes which may arise between OMM and the Client arising out of the trip, or any agreements shall be heard solely in the appropriate state or federal court located within the State of Maine and in no other jurisdiction. Client specifically submits to the personal jurisdiction of such court within the State Maine and agrees that any settlement shall not exceed the rate paid for the hunt or activity. Client agrees that Maine law shall govern the rights and liabilities of the parties.

Earl Peterson - Kentucky Bull Elk Hunt

"What an extraordinary hunt this was! Hunting the reclaimed mountain top coal properties of Eastern Kentucky was as exhilarating as being at an altitude of 10,000 feet in the Rocky Mountains - but without the thin air. Elk were bugling all around us and reacting with great enthusiasm to our calling."

John Houck - Kentucky Bull Elk Hunt

This hunt actually started in May of 2015 when my son Joe received the news that he hit the lottery! Now I’m not talking about “power ball”, I’m talking about a bull elk tag for the 2015 Kentucky rifle season! I’m not sure who was more excited, as Joe went on to say, “I hope you’ll go with me Dad.”
The planning started immediately. Seasons, rules, regulations, harvest statistics, and outfitters were at the top of the list. We left no stone unturned, as we were determined to make the most of this perhaps once in a lifetime opportunity.
After talking to what seemed like every outfitter in Kentucky, as well as numerous references, Joe decided on OMM Outfitters. Nathan Theriault heads up OMM Outfitters, and he lived up to his reputation by exceeding all of our expectations. First class, all the way!
