Deer - What to Bring
- Compass! Each hunter is required to carry a compass!
- Camouflage suit, hat, gloves and mosquito head net.
- Face paint.
- Two cell flashlight or mini-mag.
- Rain gear.
- Safety harness or strap.
- Unscented bath soap and personal needs.
- Sleeping bag - depending on lodging.
- Large cooler to transport your frozen meat and cape (large groups sometimes bring small chest freezers (12 cubic ft.).
- Proof of a valid last year's license from any state or a Hunter Safety Course certificate.
- During open firearm season on deer, 2 articles of solid fluorescent orange vest & hat.
- During open firearm season for moose, 1 article of solid fluorescent orange clothing, visible by 360 degrees. Must be a hat.
- Hunting licenses can be purchased at the Irving Store as well as the town office Maine Dept. of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife.
