Darrell,

I think there is only one way to describe the video of my hunt.....AWESOME....and I am sure you can imagine the comments I receive when I show it. The editing is very professionally done incorporating the music with the introductory and tailout footage. There are two key moments which make this particular video so great, the "Close Encounter" and "Catching Up to the Big Boy". One can't help but notice the humor and fellowship that Nate, Darrell, and I shared that week. I left Maine with the trophy of a lifetime, great memories, and the pleasure of being in the company of two great guys. I am so glad that I had the video produced because I believe it is more special than the mount on the wall.

If possible, I would like to get two pictures made from the video. The one bull in close to me and my bull stopped just before the shot.

Let me know when Darrell Jr.'s deer hunt and your 2007 moose hunt will be aired on TV as I want to make sure that I see the shows. Additionally, I would be excited to have my hunt used for a TV show if that opportunity should present itself. Give my best to Darrell Jr.

Thanks Nathan!

Realizing that drawing a Bull Moose tag in the Maine Lottery was likely a once in a lifetime opportunity, I interviewed countless outfitters and hunters before choosing OMM Outfitters. It was my desire to have a memorable hunt and harvest a Pope and Young quality bull. Never, though, did I imagine that the experience would be so rewarding! The excitement I felt as my guide called an enormous bull into bow range is something I will never forget. Looking into the eyes of one of North America's most majestic creatures from 15 yards made for a hunt that I will be talking about for the rest of my life. I do not feel that it would have been possible to choose a better outfitter. The skill and professionalism of Nathan and his staff exceeded my wildest expectations. They are some of the hardest working people in the industry and I can't wait to hunt with them again.

I saw my picture on your web site and it bought back the pleasant memories we had there this year. Paul wants us to do something like this again. Thanks for everything, I don't know when I can come back, I hope soon. Maybe for a moose with a bear. Everyone was very good to us. May the Christ of Christmas be with you always.

I wanted to thank you for treating me like family and helping to create a lifelong memory of my bear hunt! My fellow employees and customers greatly enjoy my accounts of my stay at the Eagle Lake Sporting Camps and the day by day activities available during my stay and on the hunt. A Picture now hangs in the main lobby of the Scarborough Cabelas of myself and my bear. This shows one of the many animals OMM Outfitters offers to hunt. I wanted to thank you and everyone at OMM Outfitters. It was a fantastic moose hunt. Your camp is very comfortable and the food was great! My guide Don was very determined to put me on a big moose and I did get a 57’ Bull that scored over 393 SCI and 181 Boone and Crocket. I will continue to apply my children to a zone that you hunt in hopes that I will be back to moose hunt again with OMM Outfitters.

Thanks for a tremendous time in northern Maine last week. Upon returning home, I descrbed my experiences to a good friend who is Silicon Valley CEO and big-time hunter and he definitely wants to come next year for a combined Moose and Bear hunt if you get some tags for a depredation hunt again.

Perhaps I can tag along again. It was a great hunt and I learned a lot, with much more to learn.

Nate Theriault’s favorite saying is “it’s going to happen”, and with his guiding skills and maybe a little help from the Lord above, each hunt has ended in success. Although Nate is a young man, he has been a registered Maine Guide since he was 18 and exhibits the skills of a seasoned veteran decades his senior. Since starting OMM Outfitters Nate has maintained 100% success on his moose hunts with bulls averaging 50” or better. He is an exceptional caller, bringing one bull to within 15 feet of us and having to wave the bull off when it wanted to come closer. All of the guides at OMM are very experienced and it was a pleasure to be in their company. The Eagle Lake Sporting Camps are very comfortable and provide a unique opportunity to step back in time with the historic log cabins, gas lights and heat, and periodic use of a generator for electricity. Many thanks to OMM Outfitters and the staff at Eagle Lake Sporting Camps who made a dream come true when I harvested my 51” bull during the 2009 season!

Posted Hunter Report:

There were six hunters in camp. 3 bears were killed over bait, by rifle, the first evening. One was arrowed and not recovered the second evening. Another was taken by rifle the third day. One bear sighted twice, but not taken by the sixth, was estimated to be over 500 lbs. All hunters except one had digital cameras showing 300 lbs+ bears coming to their bait stations during the legal shooting hours. The other one didn't have a camera set up at the bait sight.

Nathan is the real deal as a guide. I had the opportunity, after harvesting my bear, to help and watch him bait several sights for the upcoming weeks hunts. He works hard before, after and during the hunt. He is thorough and knowledgable in his attention to details and his success shows it.The meals were home cooked and outstanding. I returned after harvesting my bear at about midnight. Nathan had called ahead and there was a nice warm meal waiting for me. I would not hesitate to use or recommend Nathan Theriault and OMM Outfitters to anyone.
