General FAQ's
Q. What are the cancellation policies?
All deposits are non refundable. Deposits are transferable to someone filling your spot but are not transferable to someone else who is already booked in.
Q. What is the customary tip for the guides and cooks?
Nothing is expected but everything is appreciated. Once you spend a week with us and see the effort our staff puts in it is usually customary to tip. Although some can afford more than others a 10% to 18% gratuity on your total bill to be split up by your guide and kitchen/housekeeping staff would be average.
Q. Availability of alcoholic beverages?
We do sell alcohol at the sporting camps. However alcohol is not to be consumed before or during any hunting activities and is highly prohibited and not tolerated. Anyone found drinking before or during the hunt will not hunt for the remainder of that day. Drunkenness will NOT be tolerated.
Q.Moose hunting methods?
During the rut the moose are frequently vocalizing amongst each other. Therefore the primary means of moose hunting will be based around calling, and spot & stalk, this is OMM’s preferred hunting methods. The work for us begins early in the season with much preseason scouting and many plane rides to locate the monsters of the north. By doing this it helps us to be able to call a love sickened bull to within close shooting distance. The primary means of transportation to the hunting areas will be by truck or ATV, however we also offer waterway hunts out of boats and canoes.
